Sea Glass and Driftwood

Shattered or splintered
Shaken and stirred

Torn and tossed
By the unfeeling hands
Of sand and sea and time,
Yet held by the same strong current.

Sharp edges worn smooth,
Broken lines made subtle contours,
Old beauty restored,
New hope brought forth
By water and wind
Sand and light.

Learning to trust,
Gaining patience,
Finding faith.

Treasures waiting to be discovered
Never having left the Master’s hand
