Paul's Secret

(a reading based on Hab 3:17, 18; Phil 4:12 & Thess 5:18)

One: The year now drawing to a close has been a good year!
All: To be honest, it's been a tough year.
One: Yes, there have been many struggles and some setbacks.
All: But, there were also many triumphs and victories won!
One: We have known God's loving favor and shared the Peace of Christ.
All: We have shaken our fist and cried, "How long, O Lord, will you hide your face?"
One: And, not once--
All: No, not ever--have we been left or forsaken.
One: And, not once--
All: No, not ever--has God's grace not been enough.
One: So let us rejoice in the Lord; let us exult in the God of our salvation!
All: For God, the Lord, is our strength!
